U.S. Department of Education funding for this project ended on September 30, 2011. While no new materials or resources are planned to be added to this site, the Missouri PIRC will continue to maintain it as a clearinghouse of information and resources for parents, grandparents, teachers, tutors, administrators, and others working to support children's success in school and family engagement.
Over the past five years, the Missouri PIRC expanded and strengthened family engagement in Missouri by providing training, technical assistance, and quality resources, and by cultivating successful relationships among families and schools. The Missouri PIRC surpassed its original goals and objectives, and formally integrated family engagement into the state’s monitoring system. More importantly, the Missouri PIRC gave thousands of low-income parents in Missouri new tools and strategies to help their children succeed in school. Continue...
